Este es un podcast compuesto de diferentes conversaciones para ayudar a reforzar el uso del "Present perfect". Tenga en cuenta que en estos ejemplos el español utiliza el presente simple.

1   en efecto, realmente, en realidad:

• what do you actually think about it? - ¿qué piensa de ello en realidad?

2   de hecho:

• You're English, aren't you?   No, actually I'm Irish. - Eres inglés, ¿verdad?  No, de hecho soy irlandés.

Recuerda que actually nunca significa actualmente. El adverbio español actualmente se traduce por presently, at present o now:

• Right now I'm living in Barcelona  =  Actualmente vivo en Barcelona.

We met through the school. - Nos conocimos en el colegio.

Gramática:

En inglés para decir cuánto tiempo hace que ocurre una cosa se usa el Present perfect y no el Presente como en español.

• How long have you had your driver's license? - ¿Cuánto tiempo hace que tienes el permiso de conducir?
• How long have you lived in Chicago? - ¿Cuánto tiempo hace que vives en Chicago?

• We have been married over 4 years. - Llevamos casados más de 4 años
• How long have you been playing basketball? - ¿Cuánto tiempo llevas jugando al baloncesto?
• How long have you been in Japan? - ¿Cuánto tiempo hace que estás en Japón?
