Helen:  David's preparing a romantic dinner for his girlfriend, Julia. Unfortunately, he isn't the world's most confident cook.
Helen:  What is it?
David:  It's Thai chicken with chilli.
Matt:    Mmm, I like Thai food.
David:  Julia will be here soon. Aren't you two going out?
Matt:    It's not very hot.
David:  What do you mean? I put lots of chilli in it.
Helen:  Here. Let me.
David:   I'll get that.
Helen:  Matt's right. It needs more chilli powder.
David:  It's Julia.
Helen:  Hold on.
David:  Julia's already at the station. She's early.
Helen:  Matt! No!
David:  Hey, give that to me.
Helen:  David! Don't!
David:  What's wrong?
Helen:  I put some more chilli powder in.
So did I.
Matt:    Too hot?
David:  Of course it's too hot. Julia can't eat this and she'll be here in quarter of an hour.
Helen:  We can't cook anything in fifteen minutes.
Matt:    Jane can. She's a fantastic cook.
David:  Matt, Jane isn't here.
David:  Then phone her.

Jane:   Sorry, sorry. Hello.
Helen:  Jane. It's Helen. We need your help.
Jane:   What's wrong.
Helen:  Julia's coming to dinner, and Matt ruined David's delicious Thai chicken!
Jane:   Oh dear.
Helen:  Well, can you think of something?
Jane:   Is there any pasta in the cupboard?
Helen:  Pasta.. pasta. Yes there's some pasta.
Jane:   How much is there?
Helen:  Half a kilo.
Jane:   That's plenty. What about tuna?
Helen:  There are two small tins. Matt are there any mushrooms and onion?
Matt:    Yes, there are.
Helen:  We've got everything. Ok. Matt boil some water.
David:  Can I do anything? It can't be her! It's only ten to eight!
Helen:  Don't worry. We can do this. What next? David, go!

Julia:   This is nice.
David:  Here. Sit down. Would you like some wine?
Julia:   Yes, please. Why don't you sit down?
David:  I can't. The first course.
Julia:   Oh good. I'm really hungry.

Helen:  Fry the onions, yep.

Julia:   Mm, that was delicious. What's the main course? I can't wait!
David:  Er..., it's a surprise. Have some more wine?
Julia:   Thank you. I had a really busy day today. Didn't have time for lunch. It's lovely to be here and have a quiet dinner and simply relax …
David:  I'll just get the main course.
Julia:   Great.

Helen:   Here you are.
David:  Thank you so much.
Helen:  Thank Jane.

¿No vais a salir?
Matt:     No está muy picante.

David: ¿Qué dices? He puesto un montón de chiles.
Helen:  Déjame.
David:  Lo cojo.
Helen:  Matt tiene razón. Necesita más chile.
David:  Es Julia.
Espera.
David: Julia ya está en la estación. Qué  temprano.
Helen:  Matt! No!
David:  Hey, dame eso.
Helen:  David! No lo hagas!
David:  ¿Qué pasa?
Helen:  He puesto más chile.
Yo también
Matt:   ¿Demasiado picante?
David: Entonces llamala.
Jane:   Lo siento, lo siento. Hola.
Helen: Jane. Soy Helen. Necesitamos tu ayuda.
Jane:   ¿Qué pasa.
Helen: Julia viene a cenar, y Matt arruinaron delicioso pollo tailandés de David!
Jane:  Caramba.
Helen: Bueno, ¿puedes pensar en algo?
Jane:   ¿Hay pasta en el armario?
Helen:  Pasta ... pasta.  Sí, hay pasta.
Jane:   ¿Cuánto hay?
Helen:  Medio kilo.
Jane:   Es suficiente. ¿Y hay atún?
Helen: Hay dos pequeñas latas. Matt ¿hay champiñones y cebolla?
Matt:    Sí, hay.
Helen: Tenemos todo. Matt hierve un poco de agua.
David:  ¿Puedo hacer algo? ¡No puede ser ella! Sólo son las ocho menos diez!
Helen:  No te preocupes. Podemos hacer esto. ¿Y ahora qué? David, vete!
Julia:   Esto es bueno.
David:  Aquí. Siéntate. ¿Quieres un poco de vino?
Julia:   Sí, por favor.  ¿Por qué no te sientas?
David:  No puedo. Traigo el primer plato.
Julia:   Que bien. Tengo mucha hambre.
Helen: Freír la cebolla, sí.

Julia:  Mm, eso estaba delicioso. ¿Qué es para el segundo plato? No puedo esperar!
David:  Er ..., es una sorpresa.  ¿Quieres un poco más de vino?
Julia:   Gracias. He tenido un día muy ocupado hoy. No tuve tiempo para comer. Es maravilloso estar aquí y tener una cena tranquila y simplemente relajarme ...
David: Traigo el segundo plato.
Julia:   Muy bien.
Helen:  Aquí tienes.
David:  Muchas gracias.
Helen:  Di gracias a Jane.
David:  Jane?
Jane:    Hi.
David:  Jane, eres maravillosa.
Jane:    No problema. Gracias. Gracias.
Jane:   ¡Qué emocionante. ¿Qué es?
David:  Se llama "Pasta alla Julia".
Jane:   Mm. Huele muy bien.
David:  Oh, espera he olvidado la ensalada.
