Después de to be used to podemos utilizar un sustantivo, o un verbo en la forma ing, pero nunca un verbo en infinitivo. Decimos por tanto:
1) I'm used to driving in different countries. y no I'm used to drive in different countries.
Usamos to be used to para hablar de algo que ya estamos acostumbrados.
Ejemplos:
2) I'm used to living on my own. I've done it for a long time.
Estoy acostumbrado a vivir solo. Yo lo he hecho desde hace mucho tiempo.
3) Juan has lived in England for over a year so he is used to speaking a lot of time in English.
Juan vive en Inglaterra durante más de un año, por lo que está acostumbrado a hablar mucho tiempo en inglés.
O cuando todavía no estamos acostumbrados.
Ejemplos:
4) They've always lived in hot countries, so they aren't used to the cold.

¿Cómo negamos o formamos preguntas con to be used to?

Utilizamos to be getting used to para hablar del proceso de acostubrarse de algo.
7) She has started working nights and is getting used to sleeping during the day.

8) I have always lived in the country but now I'm getting used to living in the city.
Siempre he vivido en el campo, pero ahora me estoy acostumbrado a vivir en la ciudad.
